Here is a collection of pictures from my last visit to Philadelphia. I had lived there for fifty-eight years but returned as a visitor in 2016 and snapped these pictures like I was looking at the city for the first time.

It’s the city where I was born and the birthplace of our nation. It is a city of art, which includes statues, monuments, landmarks, ornate fountains, murals, and architecture. This is the Monument to Nicholas I. It’s located along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, in front of the Art Museum.

A picture of people walking through the fountains. I love the city’s diversity and richness and feel its many fountains reflect it. Below is the Swann Fountain in front of the Philadelphia Public Library. I was glad to catch the beautiful sky.

It is a great place to find a bench and read after leaving the library with a classic novel. Or to snap a few refreshing pictures.
