Letting Go of Things that Grip

My freedom mantra

I let go of all minor injustices,
transgressions that pollute —
and have a clear conscience
and a peaceful state of mind.

I turn aside the accusations,
tell these intruders
not to interfere with my sleep,
or how much emotion I eat.

I forgive the foul words
said to me in the past,
and drop the grudges
I collected over the years.

My intention is to begin
with a fresh slate,
find freedom in the midst of rubble,
letting go of things that grip.

In order to take life as it is,
I engage in helpful things,
to have a more favorable fate,
I let go of negative beliefs.
